Have that refreshing look of watermelons on your favorite sweet treats.
As much as I love chocolate, sweets and everything nice, I also love veggies and fruits. So one of the many things I’ve decided to share with you on a daily basis are different cupcake flavors, designs and recipes of fresh produce.
For this article, I’m using one of my favorite fruits, WATERMELONS!!! I actually came across a Watermelon fondant cake but a Watermelon cupcake is much cuter and easier to do. Plus they just are so easy to move around and you can do them for any occasion.

1 box White Cake Mix + box ingredients
3/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
Red and Yellow Food Coloring
1 cup softened Butter
3 cup Powdered Sugar
3 tbsp Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
Green Food Coloring
Preheat your oven and line muffin tins with paper liners. Prepare mix according to cake mix directions. Then Add just a touch of yellow color and enough red to achieve watermelon pinkish color. And then add in chocolate chips, fold in until distributed. Fill liners 2/3 full and bake according to box directions for cupcakes. Allow to cool completely.
For the frosting, whip butter and vanilla for until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar.
Add milk until you reach desired consistency. Transfer to piping bag with round tip and frost each cupcake. You can add chocolate chip on top if you want to add a little more design.
